The Story of our Star Sweater
Continuing with our #DVFCraft series, we explore the superior craftsmanship behind our standout Spring 18 Merino wool Star Sweater.
Taking inspiration from graphic motifs, the sweater is first sketched by hand. The final design is then scanned and transferred to a computer to experiment with different color combinations.
In Italy, the finest grade Merino wool is spun into soft-to-the-touch yarn. The completed digital sketch is then sent to our producers along with this high-grade, lightweight wool yarn. A specialist 18-gauge needle first creates the body of the sweater, and then the sleeves. To finish, the sleeves are sewn onto the sweater.
Back in our New York City design studio, the sweater is fitted on a mannequin to ensure the perfect streamlined and figure-hugging fit. Exemplifying quality and style, our Star Sweater is front and center in our Spring 18 campaign, and the perfect piece to transition you into spring.
